WORSHIP AND SPIRITUAL LIFE COMMISSION Our Purpose The Worship and Spiritual Life Commission oversees the various liturgical ministries for both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking liturgies in the parish and meets once a month to assist the Liturgy Coordinator, Ann Kreyche, in preparing our liturgical celebrations throughout the year. Mission Statement The mission of Our Lady Star of the Sea Worship and Spiritual Life Commission is to call and prepare others to serve as liturgical ministers with grace and reverence, and to prepare worship services that honor the diversity of our community and encourage conscious, active and full participation of everyone. Paul, in his first letter to the Corinthians, states: "There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone." We welcome men and women, girls and boys to take part in our liturgical celebrations as a liturgical minister. Worship and Spiritual Life Activities Altar Sacristans and Flower Arrangers – work to create a climate of beauty and hospitality that enhances our worship environment and helps us enter into our liturgies. Milena Wong: 475-8415. Altar Servers – assist the presider at the altar during liturgical celebrations, primarily Sunday and Holy Day masses. Jackie Holman: 427-3260. Eucharistic Ministers – minister Christ’s Body and Blood to the body of Christ at our Eucharistic liturgies and also to the sick and elderly who cannot attend mass. Diana Seixas: 464-3113. Hospitality Ministers – are God’s face and voice for those entering our holy ground. Maria Stahlman: 423-3518. Lectors – proclaim the Word of the Lord to God’s people. Jeanne Jorgensen: 477-7025.
